So...

I am officially done with my sophmore year of high school! Can't wait for next year...but first, there's summer school. U.S. History. Ugh.

I also got a job at the public library. I'm really excited about that! I start on schedule on Tuesday. Yay!! Scanning things in is so fun. Hee.

And I'm getting my liscence soon...should have gotten in sooner, but what the heck.

ALSO...David Cook won American Idol!!! You have no idea how happy that makes me. Congrats to him!

So...

Hello all.

I'd like to inform all my friends here at DA that my grandfather has been fighting for his life in the hospital, and due to the complications and lack of progress we decided to let him go. He lived 80 full years and loved every single one of them.

The thing I'll always remember about him was his smile. Everytime you saw him he'd have this wide grin on his face, and sometimes you'd wonder, "Does he ever stop smiling?" I mean, he was such a great guy, and he just wanted everyone to live in peace and get along with each other.

I drew a portrait of him for his funeral which was today. Everyone thought it was so wonderful because Grandpa looked really different lying there in the casket. He lost a lot of weight during his time in the hospital, and I couldn't even recognize him! So it was really nice to look next to the casket and see that portrait of him smiling with those crooked teeth.

The funeral home made a plaque in honor of him that they gave to my mom. I love the verse that is written on it.


God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around him
And whispered, "Come with Me."

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer
And saw him fade away,
Although we loved him dearly
We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

Kay, so....

1. I am probably the worst nail biter on the face of the earth. I try to break the habit by chewing gum...which I do a lot.

2. I get so excited when I start a new notebook. There's nothing like a new notebook!

3. As most of you know, I am short. I'm 5'3and1/2". It sucks, because everyone looks down at you when you talk to them. Well...everyone except Shawnee.

4. I live in the town that has the #2 Binge Drinking college of America. Don't you go thinking that that has anything to do with me.

5. I love to sing and perform in a group, but I would never sing a solo. I'll sing a duet, but not a solo.

6. One time I drank twelve cans of pop at a sleepover, and I thought I was drunk. Literally. I had blurry vision!

7. I am totally in love with music. I'll listen to any kind of music...some I don't listen to for very long...but still.

8. I worship Harry Potter. Enough said on that subject.
